1.Try to plan your trip between October and April

2. Look for flights that are six months ahead

5. Dress properly

6. Ask for permission before taking pictures

You must not take any picture of or with a stranger without asking for their permission. This does not apply in general if you are taking a scenic shot in some major touristy areas. But it is completely prohibited to take a picture of a Muslim woman without her permission. Also, keep in mind not to take photos of government buildings, airports, military installations as well. 

7. Who should you tip?

Tipping is not a big trend in Dubai, but a usual practice. Most restaurants automatically add a tip to your bill. Taxi drivers, do not expect to receive a tip, but luggage carriers and supermarket baggers can be given a small tip for their valuable services.

8. Never give your taxi driver an address

Taxis are best to get around the city; you will find many of them and that too with the advantage of them being a fairly cheap mode of transportation. But, do not assume that your taxi driver will know every street and restaurant in Dubai. So, to ensure that you end up where you wanted to be in the first place, provide references to big-city landmarks. These landmarks will be very popular and known by every Taxi Driver. 


9. Know the place where you consume alcohol

Alcohol is legal in Dubai. But, can not drink it in public as public drunkenness along with drinking and driving are prohibited. Also, you will not be able to buy alcohol for your own use without a permit, and you must buy alcohol from an establishment that has a license. Purchasing drinks at a bar or the restaurants is no problem, just you must not try and leave drunk.

10. Don’t try for PDA

Public displays of affection are considered very offensive in Dubai. A lot of  Dubai visitors have been arrested and imprisoned due to this reason only. To be completely sure avoid holding hands or kissing your better half while you are in public.
